A glimpse into Save the Animals Foundation (STAF)...

Has been a sanctuary for twenty years! STAF was founded in 1988 and is dedicated to providing a loving and safe home for its residents for as long as they live or until they are adopted into a home of their own.

Is a NO-KILL shelter for abandoned cats and dogs. We currently house over 600 dogs and cats - many of who were abused or neglected before coming to our shelter and benefit from the extra time, love and caring patience given by our volunteers each day.

Is run TOTALLY by volunteers. Some roles volunteers fill are: caring for dogs & puppies or cats & kittens, helping with fund-raisers such as BINGO, assisting with building maintenance - - something for everyone!

Is a private, NON-PROFIT organization funded completely by donations and fund-raisers. The shelter does not collect any government funds, nor does it spend any money on salaries. All funds go directly to the care and shelter of the animals! Membership dues are LOW and keep you up-to-date with all the happenings of the organization!

Aims to provide the best quality care for its animals. All animals see a veterinarian and receive vaccinations as soon as they enter the shelter. We keep records of all the medical care each animal receives - both regular visits and work done by area specialists when needed. All residents are spayed and neutered as soon as possible (when they are the proper age), in accordance with our philosophy of promoting responsible pet ownership and preventing additional unwanted litters.

Will adopt pets only to responsible, loving, permanent homes. Adoptions are held two days each week at the shelter. All potential adopting families will be required to fill out a questionnaire and be interviewed by a volunteer adoption counselor, before viewing the animals.
