something to appeal to everyone!

Volunteering with Cats & Dogs

Since STAF is operated totally by volunteers, they are one of our most valuable resources! If you would like to join our family of volunteers, please read on!

Volunteers are needed daily to help with the daily care of the cats and dogs. Two shifts operate daily, one in the morning, and one in the evening.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
Anyone interested in volunteering must attend a one-time orientation. Orientations are offered throughout the month and provide information about the shelter as well as the procedures we follow. For a schedule of upcoming orientations for dog volunteers, please see our Upcoming Events page. Contact the cat volunteer coordinator for those orientation times.

We have separate orientations for cats and dogs. The time commitment is about 3 hours per day, but the actual hours can vary based on your schedule. Even a couple of hours donated weekly or bi-monthly can really help!

Volunteers should be of general good health as they will need to be able to mop and bend over to fill food & water bowls. Light lifting is required.

The cats and dogs would love to see you!

Volunteering at BINGO

We also need volunteers for our bi-weekly BINGO games. We especially need callers and people to work at the concession stand. We have BINGO twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 6 - 11 pm at
11330 Williamson Road in Evendale.
