SPAY/NEUTER

STAF is proud to provide spay/neuter services for feral cats in the area. We assist volunteers who are managing feral colonies to ensure all the cats are spayed and neutered.

feral-cats feral_cat 2A TNR (trap neuter return) program is the best and proven way to manage cat populations – – feral cats are not socialized to humans. The cats are vaccinated before they are returned. Managed colonies receive regular food and clean water, and are monitored for health issues or injuries. Altering also eliminates the behaviors and stresses associated with mating, such as yowling or fighting. TNR is the responsible and humane way to take care of cat colonies.

If that didn’t convince you, maybe this will… One breeding pair and offspring can produce:

  • In 1 year 12 kittens
  • In 2 years 144 cats and kittens
  • In 3 years 1,728 cats and kittens
  • In 4 years 20,736 cats and kittens

Please help us continue our good work by supporting our Spay/Neuter Fund!
