Gizmo is now known as MacDuff or Mac, and his family recently shared this awesome update with us: “MacDuff (aka Mac) has been a joy! We take four walks a day, rain or shine (though, despite his yellow raincoat, he hates the rain). He’s a great car rider and is eager to go on road trips. In August, we visited Lake of the Woods in Canada, where he had total freedom to roam and explore. He was surrounded by water, but when he got thirsty, he came back to the cabin to drink from a bowl. “He also loved boat rides, but he never put a paw in the water. His social skills remain a little under-developed, but he shared the island with two other dogs and several people. Progress!” We are so happy to hear that Mac is living his best life with an amazing family!
When we originally rescued Astro weighing in at just three pounds as a part of a TNR effort, we could never have imagined that he truly would be a star someday! He was living on the streets with the others, then taken into a loving foster home where he got a fresh start. After being with us at our shelter, Astro (now named Sync), was adopted just over a year ago and we can see from his family’s update that he is doing so well. His mama says, “He’s the perfect kitty for our family and we love him so much!” From what we can see, it looks like he spends his days waiting for all the attention, when he is not with his brother (from rescue), Orion, since he knows who will give him all the love he deserves.
